I first opened the sealed box (love safety seals) and found a plastic lid with a contained product spoon. Such a cute little spoon. I thought to myself that I would need to be scooping a bunch of product out with such a little spoon. I was wrong. You only need a pea size amount of product to rub onto a slightly damp face. It didnt clean my waterproof mascara well at all. I have sensitive skin and it didnt irritate mine as others have mentioned. But Ill use something else on my eyes as it doesnt work for that for me and it has a mixed message on the jar about where its safe to use. More clarity on its usability and safety is needed for sure.

Amazon Vine Customer Review of Free Product – This stuff works!, and it smells nice, too! I used it to remove a full face of glam makeup, waterproof matte lipstick, glitter shadow and all. It melted it right away! All you need is to take a tiny scoop, rub it into your face, concentrating on heavily made up areas, then add a little water to emulsify and rinse! It took almost all the makeup off after one pass, but I did have to go back and apply a little more to my eyes to get the last of the mascara and eyeliner, which is notoriously stubborn. But after that, all the makeup was gone and my skin felt so smooth and clean, I barely needed a moisturizer after! Highly recommend!

I’ve never used one before, but I find it very similar to an oil cleanser in terms of effectiveness and how it feels on my face. it is easy to use — I just use the applicator to get a small dollop of the soft balm, rub it between my fingers and gently massage it over my face before using warm water to rinse it away. It is mild and causes no irritation and leaves my skin feeling clean with no oily residue. I have very dry skin, so I do follow up with a moisturizer. I actually don’t wear make-up very often as I am at home most of the time, but this works well to dissolve my daily sunscreen. When I do wear eye make-up, this takes it right off with no extra effort. With the holidays coming up, I will probably be getting out of the house more often and wearing some make-up so this will be part of my routine most evenings. This is a fairly large jar (over 3 ounces) and I only need a small amount so this will likely last a while. At $17.99 it seems very economical.

The balm has a light floral, almost peach, scent. It’s soft and instantly melts on the face into an oil. However, it leaves the face clean with no oily residue feel. In fact, you should probably follow up with a moisturizer. It’s $17.99.

You just scoop a bit out with the provided paddle and massage it onto your skin while dry. Then you rinse it off it water. I love how it didn’t make my skin feel like it was stripped of mositure. It also didn’t leave a heavy residue on my face after the rinse but rather it felt soft and smooth. The balm also massaged unti my skin smoothly in that it wasn’t causing any tugging on my skin since you have to apply it to dry skin rather than damp. Not much of a scent to it but that’s perfectly fine by me since I have rather dry skin anyway. The tub size is similar to that of tub of body butter. I also love that this balm has tons of really beneficial ingridients aimed at amping up the health of your skin instead of focusing only on cleaning and stripping junk of your face!

My initial impression of the texture made me think of hardened coconut oil, and the way it crumbles when you scoop some out. This is not as hard, and scoops out like warm candle wax. I expected it to feel oil on my skin but it wasn’t like that at all. It was more “creamy” and just felt great.
You scoop a bit out, “melt” it in your hands and rub it on your face. I can’t believe how well it works at cleaning the skin WITHOUT leaving you feeling greasy or sticky. It leaves your skin feeling really clean, smooth, and moisturized and it looked dewy. I don’t feel the need to moisturize after using it but I will sometimes follow up with an under-eye moisturizer just to add to it’s benefits. When I tried this while wearing makeup, it also did a nice job of removing my eye makeup. I did need to sweep under my eyes with a q-tip to catch some of the mascara/eyeliner but for the most part, it absolutely cleaned my face.
I really really really like this product and happy to report that I had no irritation associated with it’s use.

Amazon Vine Customer Review of Free Product – I’ve been double-cleansing whenever I wear makeup for a few years now, but I like testing different cleansing balms to see how well they work. When I go for a more “natural” makeup look, which is my go-to for the office, I’m able to get away with using a very small amount of this SoloVegan cleanser to remove all of my makeup (about a dime-sized amount). The product comes with a small spatula, which is great so you don’t have to dig directly into it with your fingers.
If you’ve never used a cleansing balm before, it’s fairly straightforward: Just scoop a bit of product into your palm, rub it between your hands to melt it down, then rub it onto your dry skin. This product will basically melt your makeup off, and then you can rinse it off as usual. Although this product alone doesn’t leave my skin feeling greasy or sticky, I still like to follow it with a gentle cleanser (I usually use Purity by philosophy).
Overall, this cleansing balm does a pretty great job and removes makeup quickly. The only thing I don’t love about it is the scent, but I can look past that since it doesn’t stay on my face very long. I would recommend this cleansing balm!

Amazon Vine Customer Review of Free Product – So, this product is similar to like cocoa butter in texture, but it’s used as a cleanser. It’s certainly very interesting and fun to try. It comes with a little scoop that sits in the top of the product seal/lid. Which means you don’t have to get any product under your nails scraping it out.
You need about half the product I scooped in the video, but I was doing it with one hand so I didn’t have a lot of control haha. I applied as per the instructions and washed as per the instructions. Application wasn’t really difficult, it feels like I’m putting something on my face like stick sunscreen. The second part with water is supposed to make it ‘milky’, but I can’t see my face without glasses on. It looked kinda milky on my fingers. Lastly, you wash it away with warm water. I suspect they say warm so that it helps break down the oil and get it off the face. My faucet is a jerk and only seems to like to do HOT or cold water, so I tried to do this but I’m not sure I washed it off efficiently (water was too hot.) It left a little bit of a tacky sticky feel on my face, but otherwise I had no issues with irritation or redness. (I did not apply this to my eye area.) I think this would be good before applying makeup if it’s sticky so that makeup adheres well. I dried my face with a soft towel and applied another moisturizer on top to see if it would minimize the tackiness and it helped a bunch. Some places are still a little sticky. It feels nice other than the tackiness.
I didn’t notice a smell that I could comment on which means if there is a scent it’s very mild. I’m pretty sensitive to perfumes, so that’s great.
I have not tried this with makeup on, as I rarely wear any.
Overall, I like the fun of this product, but for daily use I probably would choose something else. It’s just a bunch of extra work to scrape out product, follow the application methods, and then effectively use warm water to get it off.

When I use a makeup wipe I struggle to get my waterproof mascara and waterproof eyelash glue off my eyes, I typically have to use coconut oil. This makeup remover makes it super simple to get everything off in less time. I love that it comes with a spoon type of tool, it’s just one of those things that makes sense to have to help you scoop the product out without having to dig my hand in there. The packing is super nice in that it has a little weight to it so it won’t get knocked over easily on my bathroom counter when I’m washing my face. I had no allergic reactions to this formula, it’s a gentle formula that left my skin feeling silky hydrated and not dried out.

Amazon Vine Customer Review of Free Product – This is a nice, effective cleansing balm. This is a new brand to me, I couldn’t find much about them online as far as other impressions go. I’ve used many of these, I always double cleanse at the end of the day, this one works just as well as the popular Farmacy one or any other. This is great at removing makeup, even waterproof eyeliner and mascara.
The scent is kind of herbal and citrusy, to me it’s not great or bad, just neutral. The texture is very much like coconut oil (though I don’t believe it contains any), solid at room temp and quickly turns to oil in the hand. Apply it to dry skin and then add water to emulsify. I always follow up with a more traditional style facewash after, like the CeraVe hydrating wash.
The size of the container is quite generous, you don’t need much, a dime sized amount at the most, so it’s a good value. I also like that there is a spatula stored inside, very easy to use.

Amazon Vine Customer Review of Free Product – I wanted to try this because it claims to be a “make up remover, eye make up remover”, and I need something to remove waterproof mascara and eyeliner. This product uses plant-based skincare ingredients, and do not use harmful additives. I have very sensitive skin and eyes, so I’ve been searching for a product like this.
The product is made in Korea, but “designed” in the USA, whatever that means. It is safety wrapped and has a safety tape seal on the box. It has an expiration date which is somewhat difficult to determine, but I think mine was 090824. I love the little spatula for sanitary reasons so that you’re not sticking your fingers into the jar. One of the cautions on the box, however, is to avoid contact with eyes. If this is an eye make up remover, how do you avoid contact with the eyes? I used it to remove my make up, including waterproof mascara and eyeliner, and it did irritate my eyes, plus my eyes and lids were red the next morning. I did wash my face with a gentle face wash safe for the eye area, plus I used a cleanser made specifically for the eye area after using this product.
It has a mild smell that reminds me of the rhubarb and apple compote my mother used to make. It turns into an oil that easily melts all of your make up off, including the toughest eye make up. I tissued it off, then I rinsed it off, followed by washing as I had described.
This is a wonderful and effective product, however, I’m concerned about the discrepancy about the eyes, and it’s not something that I will use to remove my eye make up, which kind of defeats the whole purpose of this product for me.

Review of gifted Product- As a professional MUA and someone who wears a lot of makeup I can say this product was great. I have very sensitive skin and try to stick to natural products that moisturize my skin but doesn’t have weird ingredients. After being gifted this product I will say I had my doubts since a lot of company’s sell these balm like cleaners and they are very oily leave a residue and barely clean the skin, I was very surprised when it was able to take even my waterproof mascara off effortlessly. For now my skin has not broken out and I wake up with my face feeling very soft and moisturized and I’m sure it’s because I’m not drying it out with harsh cleansers. Rockstar cleansing balm at removing make up, even usual tough things to get off like mascara. It is super gentle, and safe to use around the eye area. For me – the combo of a cleansing balm then a regular cleanser is the easiest to keep up with a double cleansing routine. I wear sunscreen daily so always make sure to double cleanse. The combination of squalane + evening primrose oil + sunflower seed oil is great for balancing and soothing the face, as they’re all known to help calm inflammation. As an added bonus, this has a nice little built in scoop to reduce germs. A tiny scoop goes a long way so this product is a great value and will last 1-2 months even with daily usage.
My only concern (and why I took off one star) is the Sorbeth-30 Tetraoleate, Polyethylene and Fragrance listed in the ingredients as they’re not necessarily considered “clean”

Review of a gifted product – I’M OBSESSED WITH THIS CLEANSING BALM!!!!!!! I am a makeup girly who SETS her face after completing a makeup look because I have oily skin. So it’s typically a struggle to take it off, I’m talking two-three cleanses, especially in the eye area which normally get irritated by the end. But this product here knocked my normal two products I use for makeup removal out of the park!
First of all, I got it in my eye ” but IT DIDN’T BURN. I don’t recommend getting it in your eye, but just knowing that the ingredients were gentle enough not to burn/irritate me was amazing. I love that it comes with a spatula to take the product out of its container. It has a light citrusy scent, but nothing too loud that will irritate anyone sensitive to fragrance like me.
It took off my eye makeup so easily! And I tested it a few times, from heavy makeup to everyday wear, I love it. It also transforms into a cleanser when wet, so it compacts the makeup removal and skincare process. When wet it turns into a milky texture which feels very good. It doesn’t leave your skin dry but rather soft and moisturized which is a common thread with all of Solo Vegan’s products.
I would recommend this to everyone! This is my new favorite makeup remover.

Oil cleansing has a weird way to taking me back to a past life. There’s this period of ‘purge’ where you’re not exactly sure what you’re gonna get when you first start off. Today, I got a snap shot to a person who had committed to an eye brow piercing. The natural emollients left no inflammation but the grateful feeling of release from skin impurities.
,This product is an ideal upgrade to oil cleansing with a carrier oil. If you’re not familiar with oil cleansing its a way to use a simple oil, I.e. Coconut oil or an oil based cleanser to remove dirt, makeup and sebum from the skin without stripping your skin of its natural nutrients. This product uses Evening Primrose. I still would recommend leaving it on the skin for at least 5-10 minutes before massaging for the natural ingredients to break down the pollutants and really cleanse the skin.

I personally have a combination skin type and I have been using the You Make Me Melt Cleansing Balm for over a week now. In the past week of using this, I have been wearing makeup and sunscreen more often to see what results I would have. This cleansing balm is a MUST HAVE, hands down.
The packaging for this is the perfect size, with the pop of color lid that matches the wording on the package. It comes with a spatula for you to get out the amount you need without overdoing it. A little truly goes a long way with each SoloVegan product I have used. This is oil-based, but didn’t clog my pores or weigh my skin down. It’s very easy to apply, and gives moisture to my skin as well. My face felt not only clean, but refreshed! I have not experienced any irritations or redness using this, and it is great to use for those who love to double cleanse.
I have noticed that both my makeup and sunscreen, as well as any impurities such as dirt from working outside in our yard, was removed with this cleansing balm. This is another new staple to my daily routine and I highly recommend it!

Wow!! I absolutely love this cleansing balm. It comes with a a little spatula so that you can easily get the product out, and then it melts like butter onto your skin when applying. The scent is light and fresh, and it left my skin incredibly soft after cleansing. Will absolutely continue to use in the future.

I used to use a cleansing balm to remove my makeup, but had been recently using micellar water and reusable cotton rounds. I forgot how much I enjoy a good cleansing balm. I occasionally wear waterproof mascara in the summer, and this removed that and a full face of makeup very easily. It doesn’t leave a film on my skin after rinsing which is nice. It pairs nicely with their milky cleanser as well! *gifted product*

I’ve used this product twice and it’s safe to say I’m impressed! It works really well for removing makeup! I normally struggle to get mascara and lipstick off but it made this process so easy and left my skin feeling so soft afterwards! It also comes with a little spatula.

I love the clean ingredients because I have sensitive skin and allergic to many ingredients in most skincare. I’ve been a fan of cleansing balms as a way to remove my makeup and this really removes it. Plus I love this actually comes with a spoon to take out the product, which becomes difficult when it gets stuck under my nails.

Review of Gifted product – I’ve been looking for a new makeup remover but haven’t been able to find one I like. I love that this product is oil free because that means it’s safe for my eyelash extensions. It also works super well and leaves my skin feeling smooth and light.

Review of gifted product- I wear makeup every day and have been trying to find a great makeup remover that takes off all my makeup. I prefer these balms because it does a great job at removing all the extra makeup but I recommend washing with a cleanser after because it does feel oily. Also if you wear contacts take them out before using this because it will make them blurry if you use it on your eyelids.

As a makeup wearer, I will always use a cleansing balm to help me double cleanse. This one breaks down ALL of my makeup and gets my skin prepped to do in with my liquid cleanser! I do want to add, however, that I wear pretty minimal makeup so I can’t advocate for how well this will work for heavy makeup wearers. I do love the packaging as well with the little scoop! Review of Gifted Product ‘ This was my first time using a cleansing balm, and I was impressed. The consistency of it reminds me of oil that’s hard at first, then melts in your hand. I loved how this balm was able to remove all of my makeup, even my waterproof mascara! My face was left soft and not greasy, so that was a plus.
