I do not use mine as a shampoo brush, but rather for dry hair. Hair is more easily damaged when wet. So I’m not sure of the performance for being wet all of the time, but for dry hair, it’s excellent and feels great! No hair pulling like you believe it would as a first time user.

Fits nicely in the hand. Wood and silicone-type materials are decent quality. The wood is sealed and the silcone is fairly stiff but bendable. I leave it to dry on a shelf in the shower so it doesn’t grow mold. I’ve seen some extra hair growth in the few months since purchase.
